Brittany K. Taylor, Ph.D., Principal Investigator

Dr. Taylor is the director of the Neurodiversity Lab. She received her Ph.D. in Applied Developmental Science from Colorado State University in 2017. From 2017 to 2020, she completed two postdoctoral fellowships focused on functional and structural neuroimaging of dimensional psychiatry and cognitive development in childhood and adolescence.
Over the course of her training, Dr. Taylor acquired skills in functional and structural magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), magneto- and electroencephalography (M/EEG), and advanced statistical modeling techniques. Now Dr. Taylor's work explores the complex interplay between environment, brain and behavior. She is currently studying how common environmental toxins impact brain structure and function, and ultimately shape cognition and behavior in youth.
Tejiri Smith, M.S., Research Assistant

Tejiri Smith is a research assistant in the Neurodiversity Lab. Their roles involve subject recruitment, data acquisition, and assessment. They received a B.A. in Psychology from Johns Hopkins University in 2016 and an M.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2021. They have a Certified Nursing Assistant license, and have been working with a home healthcare company during the majority of the pandemic. Their future plan is to pursue a PhD in Developmental Psychology with an interest in social behavior among marginalized children and their families.
Haley Pulliam, Research Assistant

Haley Pulliam is a research assistant in the Neurodiversity Lab. Her roles include recruitment, data acquisition, and data analysis. She is currently studying Neuroscience and Spanish at Creighton University and will graduate in May 2022. After completing her bachelor’s degree, she plans to take a gap year and attend medical school starting in the Fall of 2023. Haley also works as a student tutor at Creighton and is involved in the Neuroscience Honors Society on campus.
