T35 Short Term Research Training Program for AuD Students
Boys Town National Research Hospital, with funding from a T35 training grant from the National Institute for Deafness and other Communication Disorders (NIDCD), is soliciting applications from AuD students for a three-month, full-time, clinical or translational research training experience in the hearing sciences. The
T35 Short Term Research Training Program will focus on a specific research project with one of 14 investigators related to hearing and balance.
Boys Town National Research Hospital works closely with local universities to provide
pre-doctoral training opportunities as part of our research program. Graduate students work in our laboratories, often with support from individual research grants, while enrolled in graduate programs at the University of Nebraska or Creighton University. Students benefit from the multi-faceted research and clinical environment provided by the Hospital while receiving rigorous training in their individual academic disciplines.
Postdoctoral training provides an opportunity to those with doctoral degrees to develop and broaden their research capabilities in one or a combination of scientific disciplines related to human communication and its disorders. A number of exceptional features associated with the program are particularly advantageous to trainees, including:
- A training faculty of full-time scientists to serve as sponsors
- A staff of research-oriented clinicians with access to a large and varied patient population
- Modern, well-equipped laboratories and diagnostic clinics
- A stimulating mix of fundamental and clinically relevant research projects
- A strong core support staff
