Singing and Expressive Language Development

  • Singing and Expressive Language Development

Singing really helps with expressive language development.  So singing is basically just another way of kind of showing that our voices go up and down when we communicate with them in addition to using words.  The more that you can sing as you're just doing routine things, any activity that you're going to do, "this is the way we walk the stairs," anything you're doing just as you're doing them just sing the words and then they are associating that activity every time they do it with a little song which is really helping their language development as well.
