Introduction
Susan Gripp is a certified nurse practitioner and is board-certified in advanced practice psychiatric mental health. She has worked collaboratively with counselors and psychiatrists at a behavioral health facility for women. After receiving her APRN, she most recently provided psychiatric care to children and families in outpatient treatment and day program participants.
“I enjoy learning what makes each of my patients and their families unique and determining what their goals for treatment are or what 'feeling better' means to them. It is so important that children feel supported in treatment and that their voices are heard in the planning of care. For me, the greatest payoff in treating children and adolescent mental health is seeing a patient's confidence grow and celebrating each goal realized, no matter how small."
