Dr. Shaguna Mathur Named Honorary Chair at Annual Building the Future Gala

​​​Shaguna Mathur, M.D., Pediatric Neurologist at Boys Town National Research Hospital, was awarded as the Honorary Chair at the 5th Annual Down Syndrome Alliance of the Midlands Building the Future Gala on Saturday, May 6th.

 Boys Town Hospital attendees filled two tables at the gala, cheering on Dr. Mathur as she accepted this well-deserved award amongst peers in the Down syndrome medical community and many families with loved ones living with Down syndrome.

 “I am honored and deeply grateful to receive this recognition," Dr. Mathur said. “I am fortunate to have the opportunity to work with such an amazing team here at Boys Town and to collaborate w​​ith the Down Syndrome Alliance. Together we will continue to provide comprehensive and holistic care to children with Down syndrome. "

 The Down Syndrome Alliance of the Midlands (DSA) is a non-profit agency in Omaha that was founded in 1999. The organization is committed to connecting those touched by Down syndrome through education, advocacy and support. DSA is full of parents, advocates, educators and medical professionals. DSA is affiliated with the National Down Syndrome Society, the National Down Syndrome Congress, the Global Down Syndrome Foundation and Down Syndrome Affiliates in Action.
