Boys Town Services Host Community Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day Celebration
Monday, March 27, 2023
On Sunday, March 26, the Boys Town Institute for Human Neuroscience partnered with the Boys Town Center for Human Performance Optimization, United Cerebral Palsy of Nebraska and Special Olympics of Nebraska, to host the second annual Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day Celebration Carnival.
This family-friendly carnival offered inclusive games and activities, such as a wheelchair obstacle course, therapy dogs, bounce houses, a photo booth, carnival treats and face painting. There were also six different booths to encourage communication and educate on resources for support and services for the cerebral palsy community.
More than 265 friends from the community joined for the fun at this four-hour event, alongside 60+ volunteers from Boys Town and other organizations. Miss Nebraska even made a special appearance to show her support as she took photographs, played games with the families and enjoyed a slushie.
Thanks to everyone who supported Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day 2023! The Boys Town Institute for Human Neuroscience and Boys Town Center for Human Performance Optimization are already looking forward to next year’s event!
