Rear Facing Car Seats

  • Rear Facing Car Seats - Boys Town Pediatrics & National Safety Council Nebraska

    Tim Tichy, Community Safety Manager

Why is it important for car seats to be rear facing?

Tim Tichy: About 75 percent of your crashes are from the front of this car so having them rear facing is going to hug their head, neck and spine because it is going to be supported by the entire seat.

Keep them rear facing for as long as possible for at least 2 years. It is highly important and greatly reduces their injuries to their head, neck and spine.
