FREE Car Seat Check – Hosted by Boys Town Pediatrics and Safe Kids Douglas County
Join Safe Kids Douglas County and Boys Town Pediatrics for a FREE car seat check on Friday, April 14, at Brookside Church. The event will run from 2:00 PM until 4:30 PM.
This event will be led by certified passenger safety technicians trained by Safe Kids Douglas County. Attendees can expect to spend 30 minutes with a technician for each car seat.
What to Expect
Car seat technicians will teach you how to properly use and safely install your car seat(s). The technician will start by making sure you have the appropriate car seat for your child. If your car seat does not meet safety requirements and your child is present, you may qualify for a car seat. Child must be present to ensure proper fitting. Donations to offset the cost of the car seat are appreciated.
To prepare for the event:
- Bring children, if possible. Expectant parents are welcome.
- Bring a friend/relative to help, if possible.
- Bring the vehicle owner's and car seat manuals.
This is a free event, but donations are accepted and appreciated.
Please note the event line may be cut off prior to posted stop time, and attendees waiting will be referred to a future event or inspection station.
