Gaelle E. Doucet , Ph.D., Principal Investigator
Dr. Doucet is the Director of the Brain Architecture, Imaging and Cognition (BrAIC) Lab. She received her Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Caen-Basse Normandie in France in 2010. From 2010 to 2017, she completed two postdoctoral fellowships focusing on the impact of neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders on the brain architecture. Dr. Doucet was an assistant professor in psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (New York, NY), before joining to Boys Town National Research Hospital. Her work involves the investigation of the brain architecture and its relation to cognition in health and disease and she has developed expertise in the use of resting-state fMRI to characterize the brain functional organization.

Noah Hamlin, Research Assistant
Noah Hamlin is a research assistant in the BrAIC Lab. His role is to recruit research participants as well as conduct their cognitive, behavioral and medical assessment. He received a B.S. in psychology from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2016 and received a M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University in 2019. He has a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner License (PLMHP) and has counseled clients with serious and persistent mental illness, along with substance use disorders. He would like to pursue a PhD in Counseling Education and Supervision. He hopes to conduct future research in the development of personality across the lifespan and the interpersonal and intrapersonal conditions surrounding the development of maladaptive cognitive and emotional processing.
Anna West, Research Assistant
Anna West is a research assistant in the BrAIC Lab. Her main role is to analyze and process MRI and cognitive data. She moved to Nebraska from Minnesota to receive her undergraduate degree at Creighton University, where she received a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Hispanic Studies in 2019. Since graduation, she has been working with Boys Town in the residential treatment center and now research in the BrAIC lab. Her future plan is to attend physician assistant school to pursue a career in healthcare with continuous interest and involvement in research.
