Learn More Researcher and Clinician Think-Tank - May 11, 2019Inaugural Meeting10:00 a.m. – Farine+Four, 3020 Leavenworth St, Omaha, NEWe want to foster conversations between researchers who study developmental language disorder at Boys Town and local clinicians. Thus, researchers at Boys Town decided to organize a think-tank group during which we will discuss relevant research, get feedback from clinicians about study questions/design and share findings from our own research, among other things. At our first meeting, we would like to discuss the new NSLHA proposal for identifying children for public school services. It is interesting to think about how these guidelines accord with the CATALISE definitions of Developmental Language Disorder and also interesting to imagine if and how school practice will change as a result of the proposal. We plan to have a coffee klatch at least quarterly and we will rotate venues, days and times so that everyone can make it at least to some of them. If you are a speech-language pathologist who would like to attend this first meeting, please send an email to Katherine.Gordon@boystown.org.
