For 40 years, Boys Town National Research Hospital has been translating research into premier clinical care. Our studies in neurobehavioral, hearing and language development are changing the way America cares for children, families and communities. 

Now we need you! Our research teams are looking for participants for current research studies. All participants will be compensated for their time. 

​​​​Neurobehavioral Research Studies:

The Center for Neurobehavioral Research is now seeking participants for two studies: the Trauma Research Study and ​Kids Helping Kids Research Study are now recruiting children to participate in behavioral observation, brain imaging, and psychological ​interviews. Participants will be compensated for their time.

Hearing, Language, communication and Vestibular studies:

Our hearing, language, communication and vestibular research teams are seeking participants for hearing evaluation, assessment of speech and langugage skills, ​vestibular disorders, and other communication assessments. We are accepting participants who are hearing or deaf/hard of hearing.

Children's Vocabulary Project: *Iowa City and Surrounding Areas only

The Children's Vocabulary Project is now recruiting 6-7 year olds to particpate in a 4 year language study. The goal of our research is to understand the ways children learn language and how vocabulary-learning changes as children grow.
