The studies have shown that people who drink diet soda lose weight at about half the rate as people who do not drink soda or who drink water.

There are artificial sweeteners and sugars in diet soda. So while the calories are limited there are other components to diet soda that really inhibit people from losing weight.

Diet soda can be bad for your diet. Dr. Carrie Hoarty, Internist with Boys Town Internal Medicine, explains why diet soda can inhibit your weight loss goals.
