Optional Hands-on Verifit Training - September 15, 2012
This conference is for Audiologists and Hearing Aid Dispensers will explore current issues related to hearing loss in children throughout the continuum of care. Topics covered will address the many unique challenges in fitting, verifying and validating amplification for children.
Learner Objectives
Upon completion of the conference, participants should be able to:
- Describe criteria for selecting appropriate amplification for children.
- Select and administer appropriate outcome measures to validate hearing aid fittings.
- Identify candidates for FM technology and apply current fitting strategies.
- Define auditory osseointegrated implant device, understand how the device works, and identify candidates for the technology.
- Utilize the Audioscan Verifit to complete various real – ear measurements for use in hearing aid fittings (this objective applies to those attending Saturday’s hands-on session).
