You need look no farther than Darley Adams to discover the embodiment of caring kind—genuine compassion for patients and outstanding teamwork --all while keeping the medical clinic running efficient and safe.
Boys Town National Research Hospital nominated Darley for the 2016 Nebraska Hospital Association’s Caring Kind Award for her dedication to the nursing profession and her commitment to excellence at the Hospital. The awards luncheon was held on Friday, October 14, at the Embassy Suites-La Vista Conference Center.
Since joining Boys Town Hospital in 2009, Darley has contributed to several areas, including ENT, pulmonary research and internal medicine. Over the past seven years, Darley has received countless accolades from grateful patients, approving physicians and appreciative coworkers. Her powerful focus on our patients; gentle, thoughtful sympathy for those in need, and a knack for knowing what will make any situation just a little better are a few of the wonderful qualities Darley coveys through her work every day. Physicians and staff alike are drawn to her confidence and ability to take care of everything, from tracking down prescriptions having gone astray, training and reassuring new staff members and scheduling patients to be seen despite a crowded schedule.
Darley brings her gifts of true empathy and patience to Boys Town, which, paired with her wealth of clinical skills and experience, make her the ideal nurse for the busy internal medicine practice she supports. Patients and families of the sick and elderly and disabled in her care can be assured, even comforted, knowing Darley will coordinate the complex care they need. The internal medicine physicians can and do depend on her to care for each of these individuals as if each were her only priority.
Boys Town National Research Hospital is proud to have Darley as a member of the hospital’s nursing team and congratulates her on a very deserving recognition as caring kind.
