Director, Boys Town National Research Hospital and Clinics
John Arch, serving as Boys Town Executive Vice-President of Health Care since 2011, is responsible for all patient services and research of Boys Town National Research Hospital. Prior to assuming the Executive Vice-President position, Mr. Arch served as Administrator of Boys Town National Research Hospital for 18 years.
As the Director of the Hospital and clinics, Mr. Arch is responsible for the operations of two hospital facilities in midtown Omaha at 30th and California Street and on the Boys Town campus at 139th and Pacific Street, several multi-specialty and pediatric clinics throughout Omaha, and the behavioral health residential treatment center.
Arch is a Fellow in the American College of Health Care Executives. He has served as the District I Chairman of the Nebraska Hospital Association, board member of Saint Joseph Center for Mental Health, board member of UniNet Healthcare Network, board member of Creighton University Medical Center, and board member of Grace University. He currently serves as a board member of Prairie Health Ventures and the Nebraska Purchasing Group.
He earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a Master of Arts from Western Seminary in Clinical/Counseling Psychology.
Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Hospital Operations
Edward M. Kolb, M.D., has held a key role in maintaining the highest quality of care for patients at Boys Town National Research Hospital since joining the organization in 2006. He previously served as Medical Director for the Boys Town National Research Hospital located on Boys Town campus, Director of the International Adoption Clinic and Director of the Craniofacial – Cleft Lip and Palate Team.
Dr. Kolb was appointed Chief Medical Officer for Boys Town National Research Hospitals and Medical Clinics in 2011 and Vice President of Hospital Operations in 2015. He is responsible for all Boys Town hospital services and for the exceptional care and treatment for patients and their families.
Dr. Kolb was awarded his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. He completed residency training in Pediatrics at the University of Washington in Seattle and residency training in Anesthesiology at the University of California, San Diego. He is Board Certified in Pediatrics and Anesthesiology, with subspecialty certification in Pediatric Anesthesiology. Dr. Kolb recently received a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Nebraska Society of Anesthesiologists (serving as president from 2000-2001), Society for Pediatric Anesthesia, Metropolitan Omaha Medical Society, Nebraska Medical Association, American Cleft Palate Association and the American Medical Association.
