Introduction
Dr. Anna Trauernicht joined Boys Town Pediatric Gastroenterology in 2014. After being hospitalized at a very young age she was determined to become a physician. Pediatric gastroenterology was intriguing to Dr. Trauernicht because of her brother who was diagnosed with a chronic GI issue at a young age. Her goal was to do research and help find ways to better treat children with conditions similar to her brother. Her favorite part of being a physician is the ability to teach and educate families on the diagnosis and treatment, and ultimately resolve the problem for the child. Dr. Trauernicht feels that when families completely understand their child's diagnosis they can fully understand the support their child through treatment.
