Parents & Families

At the Boys Town Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility, children learn social skills needed to be successful at home and at school.

If your family is struggling with a child or adolescent who is experiencing severe behavior problems, such as running away, physical aggression, school failures, or harm to self or others; or attempts in working with mental health providers in the past have failed, then Boys Town Behavioral Health Services may be able to help.

Our behavioral health programs provide residential treatment that is secure, safe and medically directed. Located in Omaha, Nebraska, we offer highly effective treatment services for children and adolescents from across the globe. Our program, rich in over 90 years of experience, continues to be rooted in Father Flanagan’s belief in the potential of all children to succeed.

Boy Town’s goal is the same as yours: to help your child develop skills that will arm him or her with the self-assurance and social skills needed to be successful outside the program. As a parent, you know each child learns at different speeds with success measured day to day. Although we want your child to return to your home as soon as possible, true behavioral change takes time.

Boys Town’s Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility offers two distinct treatment programs based on the severity of your child’s problems:

Locked Environment

Staff Secure Program
