Measuring Success

Boys Town Behavioral Health positively impacts school performance, academic success and family relationships.

We believe success is an ongoing process, marked by the slightest changes in behavior. Behaviors impact thinking and feeling. As a way to measure, we need a baseline. This baseline is determined through assessments at the time of admission. The assessments give us critical information necessary to develop your child’s individual treatment plan.

Treatment Plan

Your child’s treatment plan is based on the following:

  • Current and past behaviors
  • Legal guardian reports
  • Family input
  • Psychiatric diagnosis
  • Medical history

Once the information is collected, the treatment team works together to identify goals. The treatment program provides a well-rounded, comprehensive curriculum, including life skills building, individual family and group therapy, health education, drug and alcohol prevention education, social skill building and therapeutic recreation. General treatment areas include:

  • Psychiatric/medical
  • Family therapy
  • Individual/group therapy
  • Academics
  • Life skills

The treatment plan is reviewed and updated every 14 days during a treatment team meeting. These meetings are open to all team members. Boys Town Hospital offers secure, web-based technology, such as video and phone conferencing, which allows for real-time participation for parents and family who are unable to make a personal visit.
