Breakthrough research is improving the lives of children with hearing loss and their families around the world.

The Hospital is one of the world's largest facilities devoted to the study of disorders of hearing, speech, language and learning. Studies focus on the neurobiological aspects of hearing, hereditary communication disorders, and clinical and behavioral human communication.
External support is provided for institutional and individual grants through a variety of resources, including the National Institutes of Health. Collaboration with other research facilities and scientists, and state and federal agencies enhance studies.
Opportunities are available for postdoctoral fellows seeking to develop and broaden their research capabilities in scientific disciplines related to human communication disorders.
