The EIPA is a tool that evaluates the voice-to-sign and sign-to voice skills of interpreters who work in the elementary through secondary classroom.

Appeals/Grievances will not be considered on the basis of the EIPA evaluation score. Raters are closely supervised and inter-rater reliability is monitored. Psychometric review of EIPA has confirmed the inter-rater reliability and the validity of the EIPA. A lower score than what you expected is not a legitimate reason to appeal a result.
A grievance may be filed with the EIPA Diagnostic Center for one or more of the following reasons:
Grievances must be received at the National EIPA Diagnostic Center office within 60 days of receiving EIPA assessment results. Videotapes will be archived for a 4-year period, post assessment.
