Cochlear Implant Program Overview

The Cochlear Implant Center at Boys Town National Research Hospital has served children and adults with severe or profound hearing loss for more than a decade. The Cochlear Implant Center, now located within the Lied Learning and Technology Center for Childhood Deafness and Vision Disorders, provides comprehensive clinical services and conducts research related to cochlear implants. The Cochlear Implant Center provides expanded resources and opportunities for research so that the newest and best devices and services can be made available to our patients. Our cochlear implant team provides multi-disciplinary intervention to cochlear implant candidates, including support for their families. Our mission is to support the option of cochlear implants for children and adults by utilizing an individualized, family-centered approach to maximize auditory potential.
