The Cochlear Implant Center provides expanded resources and opportunities for research so that the newest and best devices and services can be made available to our patients.

Cochlear Implant Program Overview - Devices

The BTNRH Cochlear Implant Program currently offers the Nucleus device, manufactured by Cochlear Corporation, the HiRes 90K device, manufactured by Advanced Bionics Corporation, and the Med-El device, manufactured by Med-El Corporation. Pre-operatively, candidates participate in a device orientation session in which all three devices are reviewed. Candidates choose which device best meets their individual needs, unless the CI team recommends a specific device type for medical or other reasons.
