Cochlear Implant Program Overview - Clinical Services - Parent-Infant Program

Our parent-infant staff provides home-based services in cooperation with local school districts to infants and toddlers with hearing loss. These services include:

  • Supporting families in understanding hearing loss and its impact on speech and language development
  • Supporting families in understanding the benefits and limitations of amplification
  • Aiding families in deciding communication modality for their child
  • Provide support to ensure the child’s regular hearing aid or cochlear implant use
  • Provide communication strategies to use within daily routines
