Cochlear Implant Program Overview - Clinical Services - Counseling

A certified counselor on our staff provides support for candidates, recipients, and their families throughout the cochlear implant process. The counselor provides guidance for parents coping with newly-identified hearing loss in infants, discusses realistic expectations for receiving a cochlear implant, and can put candidates in touch with cochlear implant recipients who have similar backgrounds or circumstances.
