Cochlear Implant Program Overview - Clinical Services - Audiology

Our team of experts provides comprehensive audiologic services for children and adults, from initial identification and/or confirmation of hearing loss in infants to post-operative cochlear implant follow-up. These services are provided by the collaboration of several departments within Boys Town National Research Hospital: Clinical Audiology, led by Dr. Pat Stelmachowicz, Evoked Potentials services, led by Dr. Michael Gorga, and the Cochlear Implant Program, led by Dr. Michelle Hughes. Audiologic services include:

  • Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) testing
  • Otoacoustic Emissions

  • Earmold and hearing aid services
  • Assistive listening devices/FM systems
  • Intra-operative cochlear implant testing
  • Cochlear implant speech processor programming and follow-up tuning

  • Neural Response Telemetry (Nucleus devices)
  • Neural Response Imaging (Clarion devices)
