Presently there are three multi-channel cochlear implant manufacturers with FDA-approved devices on the market in the United States. These are: Advanced Bionics Corporation, manufacturer of the Clarion device; Cochlear Corporation, manufacturer of the Nucleus device; and Med-El, manufacturer of the Med-El device. At Boys Town National Research Hospital, we currently offer all three devices to our patients.
