Interim Executive Director and Administrator

John Arch is serving as the Interim Executive Director and Administrator of Boys Town National
Research Hospital. He is responsible for the administration of all healthcare services, including hospital’s two locations: downtown at 30th and California Streets and on the Boys Town medical campus at 139th and Pacific Streets. In addition, he is administratively responsible for multi-specialty and pediatric clinics located throughout Omaha, a 102-bed child and adolescent behavioral health residential treatment  program, and research supported with more than $5 million annually from National Institutes of Health.

Arch is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and a Board member of UniNet Healthcare Network. He served as District I Chairman in 1996 and 2007 of the Nebraska Hospital Association, Board member from 1994-1998 of Saint Joseph Center for Mental Health, and Board member of Grace University from 1998-2008, serving Vice-Chairman and Chairman.

Prior to joining the hospital in 1993, he served as Vice President for Marketing and Business Development at Omaha’s Saint Joseph Center for Mental Health.

Arch received a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, a Master of Arts Degree from Western Seminary in Clinical/Counseling Psychology, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Grace University in History and Philosophy.

Interim Medical Director

Edward M. Kolb, M.D., is serving as Interim Medical Director for Boys Town National Research Hospital, in Omaha, Nebraska.

Dr. Kolb received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Sciences by the University of California, Riverside and was awarded his Doctorate of Medicine degree by the University of California, Los Angeles. He completed residency training in Pediatrics at the University of Washington in Seattle and residency training in Anesthesiology at the University of California, San Diego. He is Board Certified in Pediatrics and Anesthesiology.

Dr. Kolb has served as the Medical Director/Anesthesiology of the Boys Town Surgery Center West, Director of the International Adoption Clinic and Director of the Craniofacial – Cleft Lip and Palate Team at Boys Town National Research Hospital. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Nebraska Society of Anesthesiologists (having served as President from 2000-2001), Society for Pediatric Anesthesia, Metropolitan Omaha Medical Society, Nebraska Medical Association, American Cleft Palate Association and American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
