Linda Daugherty Recognized as 'Caring Kind'

Linda L. Daugherty, RN, has received the 2007 “Caring Kind” award from the Nebraska Hospital Association.  The award was presented at a luncheon honoring recipients from across the state at the association’s annual convention in Lincoln, Nebraska, on November 2.

A nurse for the past 32 years, Linda has worked at the Surgery Center at Boys Town National Research Hospital – East for the past 4 years. The nominator of Linda’s award describes her as “one of the kindest people I know. Her calm demeanor is reassuring to patients and families…her genuine concern for everyone she meets makes her a wonderful example of “caring kind.”

The “Caring Kind” Award honors one outstanding health care employee from each state institution, who demonstrates compassion for patients, cooperation with co-workers and dedication to excellence in their job responsibilities.

Congratulations Linda on this prestigious award and for setting an example for all Boys Town employees.
